Nicole Joynt

Psychologist based in Pukekohe

Nicole is passionate and experienced in working with both neurotypical and neurodiverse individuals in both public and private settings, and currently works with individuals aged 12years and above. Nicole has a compassionate, collaborative, and pragmatic approach, with experience providing treatment for a range of mental health and behavioural difficulties including:

  • PTSD and CPTSD

  • Anxiety disorders

  • Depression

  • Personality disorders

  • Stress and burn-out

  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder

  • ADHD and ASD

Nicole works alongside individuals to find strategies that they are able to implement for long-term and lasting success. Drawing on a range of evidence-based therapy models, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness. She believes in an approach which is informed by science, but also not constrained by it.

Occupational Therapist - NZROT (BHSC) - based in Pukekohe and Waiuku

Nalika is a New Zealand registered Occupational Therapist who has worked in the mental health field for over 12 years providing occupational and psychological therapies to all ages, as well as group facilitation and clinical supervision. Nalika enjoys working with all ages, including children aged 4years and older.

Nalika is passionate about supporting both youth and adults who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, interpersonal relationships, self-esteem, sensory processing, grief and loss, and parenting. She focuses on individuals values and beliefs to ensure therapy sessions are meaningful and purposeful to them; and uses such practices as goal setting, mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance and anxiety management to help individuals reach their goals towards an improved quality of life. Nalika believes that well-being is life and life is well-being, and she is passionate about exploring what that journey may look like for so many unique individuals.
